Minimally invasive procedures lead the new wave in aesthetics

The aesthetic industry is shifting rapidly with new trends focused on personalised treatments, quicker recovery, and natural, long-lasting results. These changes are shaping what patients expect and setting new standards in beauty and self-care. Preservation rhinoplasty is becoming more popular because it maintains the natural nose structure, reduces recovery time, and provides subtle, lasting results. Body contouring is also becoming more personalised with advanced tools like high-definition liposuction and BodyTite, offering better results for each patient.

Similarly, less invasive procedures now come with faster recovery options, including better pain management and regenerative treatments, so patients can get back to their routines quickly. Facial treatments like jawline contouring and neck lifts are also in high demand as people want to look their best for both online and in-person meetings. Preventative treatments such as botulinum toxin and laser resurfacing are popular with younger patients who want to maintain smooth, youthful skin. These trends are leading to more personalised and effective aesthetic care.

NAMICA Technology Threads bring fresh innovation to aesthetic treatments

NAMICA Technology Threads has introduced a new technology in aesthetics by improving thread lifting. This advanced technology gives patients a refreshed look with little downtime and meets the rising demand for non-surgical and natural results. Thread lifting is a simple, minimally invasive treatment that uses absorbable threads to lift and tighten loose skin in areas like the cheeks, jawline, and brows. NAMICA Technology Threads take this to the next level by slowly releasing hyaluronic acid (HA), which keeps the skin hydrated, improves its texture, and provides long-lasting rejuvenation.

These threads offer two key benefits – gentle lifting and better skin hydration – making the skin healthier and glowing. Thread lifting can also be combined with treatments like dermal fillers or botulinum toxin for even better results, providing a more complete approach to facial rejuvenation. As new technologies emerge, NAMICA Technology Threads are shaping the future of aesthetics, helping professionals stay ahead in offering safe, effective, and non-invasive treatments.

India is the new hotspot for cosmetic surgery

India is rapidly becoming a top destination for medical tourism, particularly in cosmetic surgery, attracting patients worldwide with its affordable yet high-quality treatments. The country’s growing reputation in aesthetic procedures has made it a preferred choice for international patients seeking transformative results. Today, India offers a wide range of cosmetic surgery treatments, including eyelid surgeries, hair restoration, non-surgical facelifts, and laser skin treatments. Popular procedures include facial reconstructive surgeries, cosmetic rhinoplasty, body contouring, and injectables such as botulinum toxin and dermal fillers. These services are known for minimal downtime and long-lasting results.

The country stands out due to its skilled professionals, advanced technology, and patient-centric care. Treatments are significantly more affordable as compared to Western countries, and strong preand post-treatment support ensures patient satisfaction. Facial feminisation surgery has also gained popularity, especially among transgender and non-binary individuals seeking enhanced facial features. As medical tourism continues to grow, India is establishing itself as a leader in cosmetic surgery services.

Is beef tallow the new skincare miracle or a passing trend!

Beef tallow, a rendered fat from cows, is gaining attention as a natural skincare ingredient. Known for its high content of saturated fats and essential fatty acids, beef tallow is increasingly being used as a moisturiser and skin treatment, especially for dry or irritated skin. Packed with vitamins A, D, and E, beef tallow offers several skin benefits. Vitamin A supports collagen production, keeping the skin elastic, while Vitamin E fights early signs of ageing. Vitamin Dboosts overall skin health. The fat also contains oleic acid, which has anti-inflammatory properties, making it useful for conditions like eczema and psoriasis.

Despite its benefits, beef tallow may not be suitable for all skin types. Those with oily or acne-prone skin might experience breakouts. It can also cause irritation if not processed properly. The strong smell and greasy texture may also put off some users. Hence it is only safe to always perform a patch test on clients and use in moderation for best results.

Pharma companies flock to India’s growing cosmo-dermatology market

Cosmo-dermatology is making news in India’s skincare market, drawing increased interest and investment from pharmaceutical companies. As people focus more on skincare, hair loss treatments, and aesthetic dermatology, pharma companies are entering this expanding sector. The growing interest is driven by the rising demand for non-surgical beauty treatments like anti-ageing, skin rejuvenation, and hair restoration. This growth is also supported by increasing skin problems, such as acne and dermatitis, caused by pollution and lifestyle factors.

The cosmo-dermatology segment now makes up 32 per cent of India’s dermatology market and is growing as more people become aware of beauty and wellness. More wellness centres and beauty clinics are also contributing to this growth. Big pharmaceutical companies like Emcure Pharmaceuticals and Glenmark are launching new products and brands to meet the demand. With flexible pricing and high growth potential, cosmo-dermatology presents profitable opportunities for pharma companies, showing a bright future for India’s skincare industry.

Age-defying procedures becoming big business in Hollywood

Age-defying cosmetic procedures are becoming more popular, especially in Hollywood, as many celebrities are opting for these treatments to look younger. This trend is driving significant growth in the beauty and wellness industry. For instance, recent reports suggest that Lindsay Lohan spent up to $300K on plastic surgery. Reportedly, a plastic surgery expert has been quoted in the news says Lindsay Lohan’s makeover may have cost up to $300,000, which has people talking about how young she looks.

The increase in demand has been fueled by a variety of procedures, including rhinoplasty, brow lifts, facelifts, eyelid surgery, botulinum toxin, and dermal fillers. Moreover, non-surgical treatments like laser therapies, including Morpheus and IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), are becoming increasingly popular for skin rejuvenation. These treatments help boost collagen production and improve skin texture, offering less invasive alternatives to surgery. A key change in consumer preferences is the increasing demand for customised beauty plans. Many individuals are opting for a combination of surgical and non-surgical treatments to achieve a natural, refreshed look. This shift presents new opportunities for beauty clinics, dermatologists, and aesthetic surgeons as the demand for age-defying procedures continues to rise.

Rapid weight loss sparks demand for non-invasive facial rejuvenation

Rapid weight loss can impact facial appearance, leading to muscle loss, sagging skin, and reduced volume, which may result in a more aged look. A growing concern among individuals is how to preserve muscle tone and maintain a youthful appearance post-weight loss. This challenge has led to increased interest in non-invasive treatments that target facial rejuvenation.

According to a recent survey, 88.4 per cent of people recognise that rapid weight loss can cause muscle loss, yet many struggle to maintain facial muscle tone. Moreover, 69.6 per cent of respondents feel that weight loss can make them appear older, highlighting the need for effective solutions. Non-invasive treatments like Emface and Exion are gaining popularity for their ability to address these concerns. Emface combines High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic Stimulation (HIFES) and RF thermal energy to tone muscles and restore volume, while Exion uses radiofrequency technology to tighten skin and boost collagen production. These treatments offer a safe, effective alternative to invasive procedures, meeting the growing demand for youthful, natural results.

Global study reveals major gaps in dermatological care

A global study has revealed important gaps in access to dermatological care, showing the urgent need to improve skin health services around the world. The new Global Access to Skin Health Observatory is working to assess dermatology services across 194 countries. This initiative, led by L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty and the International League of Dermatological Societies (ILDS), is the first global study of its kind. Nearly 2 billion people suffer from skin diseases, but many still have limited access to dermatologists, especially in underserved areas. The World Health Organization suggests there should be four dermatologists for every 100,000 people, but some places have fewer than one per million, creating huge gaps in care.

Skin diseases affect one in four people worldwide, causing both physical and emotional problems. The study aims to highlight these gaps and provide insights to help improve dermatological care. The results, due in 2025, will guide efforts to increase access to skin health services globally.

Body contouring market set to hit $2.58B by 2029

The global body contouring treatment market is predicted to reach $2.58 billion by 2029, growing from $1.46 billion in 2024, driven by a CAGR of 10 per cent. This surge is primarily due to the increasing demand for aesthetic treatments, particularly noninvasive and minimally invasive procedures. Key drivers include the rise in anti-ageing procedures, growing awareness about body contouring, and technological innovations in non-surgical fat reduction treatments. Non-invasive technologies, which accounted for the largest market share in 2023, are especially popular due to their reduced risks and minimal recovery time.

The market is led by major players like AbbVie, InMode, Bausch Health, and Cynosure. Aesthetic clinics are expected to see the highest growth rate, while the female patient segment remains dominant, largely due to social media influences and post-pregnancy body-shaping trends. The Asia-Pacific region is expected to witness the highest growth due to improving healthcare infrastructure and increased investment in medical aesthetics. The demand for body contouring treatments is anticipated to continue growing, fueled by technological advancements and expanding market accessibility.
