From ground zero…

With the pandemic bringing the world to a standstill, here’s how Aesthetic Medicine has kept the morale high digitally and has been on the go with the magazine, website, webinars and virtual live interviews.

If you want to be a speaker at our upcoming virtual events, or are seeking partnership opportunities, you could write into ria.rungta@ideas-exchange.in. We would be delighted to have you join us and welcome you on board.

Aesthetic Medicine forayed into the India market in the year 2019 with the launch of the magazine website and inspiring best practices in medical aesthetics. The first edition of Aesthetic Medicine Expo and Conference in India was organised the same year and it witnessed 35 exhibitors participating at a venue spread across 1,500 sq m and 1,163 trade visitors across two days. The scientific conference and business sessions enabled delegates to notch up their knowledge about cosmetic dermatology and the art of running a clinic successfully. The conference had 44 speakers and 176 delegates who attended the 31 sessions and three panel discussions. The attendees comprised dermatologists who were keen on pursuing aesthetic practice and wanted to learn from top practitioners and clinicians.

Then came 2020, and since, the world was besieged with the coronavirus pandemic. We, at Aesthetic Medicine, continued working hard to keep the fraternity engaged. We took on the challenge and set ourselves on an exciting digital journey. In all success, the Aesthetic Medicine Digital Series were introduced and our webinars online interactions and with experts have been instrumental in bringing vital information to practitioners on various aspects of dealing with the current situation, post-lockdown measures and clinic re-opening strategies as well as educational sessions on topics ranging from administering botulinum toxin to thread lifting.

Also, in keeping with the social distancing norms and a contactless experience, we also introduced the magazine in an interactive digital format.

From not having much established in the beginning of one of the challenging years in history (2020) for people and businesses, here’s a report card of the successful online journey that Aesthetic Medicine India has outlined for itself:

•From March 2020-2021, the total traffic on the website www.aestheticmed.in, which is populated with news on a daily basis, witnessed a growth of 96 per cent.

The Aesthetic Medicine magazine’s digital issue has been witnessing an average growth of 40 per cent (in magazine views) edition-after-edition. Number of views registered between the latest two editions: 36,836.

Webinars: Having organised a total of 25 live webinars in 2020 with aesthetic physicians’ pan-India on Zoom as well as streamed on our YouTube channel Aesthetic Medicine India, Instagram Facebook Aesthetic Medicine India Instagram the webinars have garnered a total of over 4,400 views, building a current channel subscriber base of 263 (and growing) from just 1 in the year 2020.

•Social media: Our digital series have been extended to and as well with about 40 live interviews and discussions conducted over the pandemic months gathering a total of over 9,400 views. What’s more, our posts and stories highlight recent news from the industry along with capturing the spirit of the aesthetics community. In a spectacular response received over the last one year, the page witnessed 898 per cent growth in its followers, and 88 per cent increase in its Facebook likes.

•LinkedIn: We have built a family on LinkedIn as well, and with an increase in our followers, our connections have gone up by 700 per cent too.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the aesthetic fraternity, especially the doctors and brands who have supported us throughout this successful digital journey. Our special thanks to our Editorial Advisory Board (refer to pg 8) for guiding us through.

But this thriving digital journey does not end here! This is just the beginning to the many more spectacular live discussions and interviews that are in the pipeline for the following months.

Stay tuned with us digitally!
