THE DERMA ROLLER
The principle of the derma roller is to provide collagen induction. This is done by causing a minute injury to the dermis with the use of microneedles. This results in the starting of a wound healing cascade and utilises the body’s self-healing mechanisms.
The technique is also aimed at generating a physical conduit through the upper epidermis to improve skin penetrability.
VARIANTS
1. 0.25 mm: It enhances transdermal, absorption of products, and thickens the epidermis.
2. 0.5 mm: It treats shallow wrinkles, UV damage, light scarring, and hyperpigmentation.
3. 1 mm: Can be used in treating stretch marks, scars, and even wrinkles efficiently. Also, treats uneven skin complexion.
4. 1.5 mm: Ideal for the back of the hands, abdomen, thighs, arms, and the decorate areas, for treatment of mild to not-so-severe scars, wrinkles, and stretch marks.
