A gentle RF solution

Acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory disease of the pilosebaceous units, which is characterised by comedones, papules, pustules and nodules and often results in significant facial scarring. Acne is one of the most common skin manifestations seen in dermatological practices world over. Especially, in coloured populations, acne scars and pigmentary sequelae can affect more than 50 per cent of the population.

In acne management, the role of oral supplements and topical preparations is crucial, but that alone cannot address all the concerns that cause acne. Conventional therapy with antibiotics and retinoids yields mixed results and can be complicated by antibiotic resistance and adverse treatment profiles. Dr Ravi Kothari, Consultant Dermatologist and Cosmetologist, Sparsh Skin, Hair and Laser Clinic, Pune, has used the GentloTM for more than a year.
