Aesthetic Medicine Online

Come January 2021, and the Aesthetic Medicine team organised much to the benefit of aesthetic medicine practitioners and the industry, the digital conference and exhibition – aestheticmedicine.online. In all success, the virtual event offered a platform where one could hear from multiple renowned industry speakers and key opinion leaders and learn techniques to improve patient care.

Led by the Aesthetic Medicine UK team, renowned doctors from India too were part of this two-day mega online event, organised on January 25-26, 2021.

Dr Malavika Kohli, Dermatology and Aesthetics Director, Skin Secrets, led the session on ‘Understanding patients’ persona and planning their treatments accordingly.’ In this session, Dr Kohli focused on:

• Connecting the dots from discussion to delivery to a loyal patron.

• How through cosmetic consult, can you assess the patients’ needs, profile and personality?

• How can you position procedures and skin care accurately?

• Why prioritise skin care and anti-aging goals for your patients?

• Why is it important to balance technical skills vs soft skills, and how can that be achieved?

Further, Dr Madhuri Agarwal, Dermatologist and Founder & Medical Director, Yavana Aesthetics Clinic in India, delivered a session on ‘Procedural Treatment of Acne and Acne Scars: The whole nine yards’. Acne is strikingly visible, and patients try out various products and treatments for quick fixes, but in vain. Poor patient compliance, lack of durable remission, and potential side-effects are common drawbacks to conventional therapeutic treatments. But physical modalities for acne and acne scars are quick, safe, and novel treatment options for patients. Also, appropriate patient selection, patient education and combining various modalities can ensure a satisfactory outcome.

So, what are these novel treatment options? How do we ensure appropriate patient selection and how do we combine various modalities to ensure a satisfactory outcome? Dr Agarwal joined us live to share all these details making the session as informative and insightful.

If these were your questions too, but you missed joining us live, here is your link to the session: CLICK HERE Also, in an intriguing session on ‘Practice Management: From Humble Beginnings to Grand Successes’ - Dr Venkataram Mysore, Director, Venkat Center for Skin and Plastic Surgery in India, joined us live in a virtual tête-à-tête with Dr Aseem Sharma, Chief Dermatologist, Skin Saga Centre of Dermatology, India.

How does one start out? You have established your practice: Now how do you scale it up? What are the common mistakes that one makes in practice? For pitfalls, roadmap and much more… This live session on practice management was led by Dr Sharma with his excellent questions and brilliant insights from Dr Mysore that only brought forward several interesting aspects that aesthetic medicine practitioners can consider adopting in their practices.

While this is a session that you would certainly not want to miss out on – but, if you did? We have got you covered: CLICK HERE
