Shaping tomorrow’s aesthetics
As I reflect on the remarkable growth of India’s medical aesthetics industry, one thing is clear: we are on an exciting journey. In 2023, the Indian medical aesthetics market was valued at US$ 1.34 billion, a number that reflected the rising awareness of aesthetic procedures, the rapid advancements in medical technology, and the increasing influence of medical tourism. And this growth has continued; it is not just a number, but represents stories of individuals seeking confidence, self-expression, and emotional healing.
At this year’s Aesthetic Medicine Conference and Exhibition, India’s leading dermatologists came together to discuss the latest treatment modalities, innovations, and success stories. Iam thrilled to bring you excerpts from those rich discussions in this edition.
From how facial treatments deliver natural, harmonious results, to exploring the latest trends in hair restoration techniques, this issue covers a spectrum of aesthetic procedures. You will also find insights on tackling acne struggles and expert treatments for pigmentation. Features shed light on body contouring, while Dr Pradnya Manwatkar shares insights on the emotional connection between skin health and well-being, particularly with emodermatology. What’s more, we also take you through the power of PDRN boosters for pigmentation.
On a global scale, this edition brings you knowledge from renowned international experts – consultation and treatment approaches for male androgenic alopecia, the fascinating science behind regenerative technology, the role of cell optimisation in skin rejuvenation, illuminating LED treatments, and the importance of defining your ideal clientele for success. Lastly, a piece on addressing mental health issues in the workplace rounds out this issue, ensuring we do not just focus on the skin, but the mind and spirit as well.
Iam also excited to officially announce the Aesthetic Medicine India Conference and Exhibition 2025, taking place on May 24-25, 2025, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. With the theme ‘Experience the Next Era of Medical Aesthetics’, this event will be the definitive space for aesthetic medicine practitioners and experts to explore cutting-edge innovations, network with industry leaders, and share knowledge that will shape the future of aesthetics in India and globally. Mark your calendars – we look forward to seeing you there! India is poised to become a global leader in medical aesthetics, and together, we will take the Indian medical aesthetics fraternity to the global stage.
