FMMC Dermatology Department honoured with the IADVL KN 2023 Award

In recognition of their notable performance, the Department of Dermatology, Venereology, and Leprosy of Father Muller Medical College (FMMC) was honoured with the “Best Dermatology Department Award” for the third consecutive year in 2023 by the IADVL Karnataka Branch. Vice Dean and Professor Dr Ramesh Bhat were praised for his work in foreign nations, and Dr Rochelle Cheryl Monteiro won the prestigious ILDS 2023 DERMLINK Community Dermatology Grant for her research on migrant workers. Acknowledging community-focused endeavours, Dr Jyothi Jayaraman was honoured with the Community Dermatology Award for her work on “Cashew Nut Dermatitis”, supported by ILDS. Postgraduates Dr Melissa Grace secured first place in the “Speaking Image” category, while Dr Mrunalini Rayi and Dr Swathi Nearned the second runner-up position in the state quiz. The awards were presented at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, during CUTICON -KN 2023, and were commemorated with a felicitation programme at the AV Hall Knowledge Centre, Father Muller Medical College. An honourable group of people, including the Director, Dean, administrators, teachers, and students, attended the event to honour the department’s hard work and overall success.
