Dr PK Nigam receives prestigious Medical Fellowship from NAMS

Dr PK Nigam, a distinguished dermatologist and former director professor at Pt JNMM College in Raipur, was honoured with a prestigious medical fellowship by the National Academy of Medical Sciences (India) during the academy’s national conference and convocation held in Bengaluru. Already a recipient of several esteemed accolades in the medical field, including the MAMS degree from the academy in 2009, the FIAD award by the Indian Academy of Dermatology in 2012, and the FRCP from the Royal College of Physicians, Glasgow (UK) in 2015, Dr Nigam now adds this fellowship to his illustrious list of achievements. The National Academy of Medical Sciences, established in 1961 by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, plays a crucial role in advising the Indian Government on health policy and planning. It recognises outstanding contributions in medical and allied sciences, with the recent fellowship being granted to only 25 eminent dermatologists in the country. Notably, luminaries like Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, the former President of India, are among its esteemed fellows.
