Non-surgical procedures on the rise in India

Various factors drive trends in changing times. Currently, there is a rising demand for non-surgical procedures among the Indian population, as well as globally. This change can be attributed to recent advancements in the field of aesthetic procedures. There has been a remarkable shift in the aesthetics industry, with more and more individuals opting for minimally invasive options among the plethora of aesthetic procedures.

To achieve aesthetic goals, individuals prefer faster results and minimum downtime, which has been made possible by significant advancements in aesthetic procedures. This trend is particularly prominent in India and can be attributed to cultural shifts, increased self-awareness, technological advancements, and affordability. The demand has fueled the rapid growth of nonsurgical aesthetic treatments with minimal downtime.

Some widely popular non-surgical procedures include botulinum toxin and dermal fillers, laser hair removal, chemical peels, and non-invasive body contouring. More and more dermatology practitioners now offer these minimally invasive options to their patients. The quick and swift results with minimal downtime make them popular among the masses.

In the near future, the roadmap of non-surgical procedures is poised for continued growth. Technological advancements and new regenerative options will continue to lead to more innovative and effective treatments. The lines between surgical and non-surgical options are already blurred and will continue to blur further.

Regenerative PRF and Exosomes leading the way in skin and hair health

The dermatology industry is abuzz with excitement over regenerative treatments, with Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) and Benev Exosomes emerging as frontrunners in this arena. These procedures have garnered impressive reputations for promoting skin and hair health by harnessing the body’s innate regenerative capabilities. These cutting-edge therapies are revolutionising traditional approaches to skin and hair care.

The PRF process involves extracting and concentrating platelets, growth factors, and other bioactive compounds from the patient’s own blood. This approach offers optimal results while maintaining a high safety profile, minimising the risk of allergic reactions or undesirable side effects. Both doctors and patients are drawn to this delightful and worry-free procedure.

PRF offers a multitude of benefits for skin health by utilising the body’s natural growth factors to boost collagen and elastin fiber production, enhance blood vessel formation, and promote tissue repair. It takes the lead in combating the signs of ageing, revitalising the skin with youthful radiance. Additionally, PRF aids in reducing the appearance of scars, including acne scars, by facilitating tissue regeneration and reducing inflammation. When microneedled and injected into the scalp, this potent mixture stimulates hair follicles, making it an effective solution for alopecia.

On the other hand, Exosomes are tiny membrane-bound vesicles carrying signaling molecules that stimulate the body’s stem cells and trigger cellular regeneration. This regenerative wonder synergises with the body, enhancing the effectiveness of skin rejuvenation treatments. Thanks to their small size, Exosomes efficiently penetrate the skin and scalp, ensuring the procedure’s benefits are fully realised. They transmit regenerative signals, boosting collagen synthesis, improving skin elasticity, and strengthening hair follicles. These treatments significantly reduce recovery time and deliver outstanding results, making them a game-changer in the field of regenerative dermatology.

Dermatology excimer lasers market anticipated to expand with 10.4% YoY

The dermatology excimer lasers market is witnessing a global surge in ablative laser treatments due to their effectiveness, safety, and minimal recovery time. This trend has significantly boosted the prospects of the market, with an anticipated CAGR of 11.4 per cent. By 2033, experts estimate the market’s value to reach US$ 258.4 million, compared to its current valuation of US$ 87.7 million, marking a steady year-over-year expansion of 10.4 per cent.

While traditional lasers can sometimes leave thermal damage, ablative lasers offer a safer alternative by removing the outer layers of aged and sun-damaged skin without causing harm. These lasers also find applications in tattoo removal procedures, driven by the increasing demand for vibrant tattoos. Consequently, the need for tattoo removal has risen, leading to a flourishing laser therapy market. Vibrant tattoos often require multiple sessions for complete removal, necessitating combined laser therapy to address the diverse colors present. Using a single laser can result in dyschromia and ink retention, underscoring the importance of multiple laser therapy sessions in many cases.

The excimer laser market’s growth is influenced by evolving trends and demands, with these factors being some of the primary contributors to its expansion.

Aesthetic thread market to expand to US$ 203 million by 2030

Experts anticipate the aesthetic threads market to exceed US$ 203 million by 2030, boasting a robust CAGR of 6.6 per cent. As of 2022, the global aesthetic threads market stood at a valuation of US$ 121.4 million. This growth trajectory is attributed to the surging demand for treatments worldwide. The technique’s simplicity, sustainability, and effectiveness have fueled its popularity and subsequent market expansion. A growing number of individuals are now seeking affordable, high-quality procedures administered by skilled professionals.

The aesthetic thread market is soaring to new heights, driven by the surge in sustainable fashion, conscious consumerism, and its captivating quality and appeal.

This market presents diverse and rapidly expanding opportunities. It resides at the intersection of dermatology, creativity, and commerce, drawing in consumers who seek to transform their ordinary appearances into something extraordinary through threads. The allure of aspirational lifestyles is undergoing a remarkable transformation, and aesthetic threads offer a means of effecting this change, all while adhering to sustainable and ethical practices. Moreover, it resonates strongly with environmentally-conscious customers, attracting a growing clientele with each passing hour.

Barbie Botox alert! All about the viral Barbiecore Aesthetic

Barbie: The Movie’s influence continues, with the “Barbie Botox” trend gaining viral status on social media. This cosmetic procedure aims to create a Barbie-like physique by injecting botulinum toxin into the neck and shoulders for a slimming effect that mimics the iconic Barbie silhouette. Inspired by the traditional medical practice known as TrapTox, typically used for pain management and posture improvement, this cosmetic adaptation aims to elongate the neck and create a delicate appearance.

The procedure involves injecting botulinum toxin, or other muscle-paralyzing neurotoxins, into the trapezius muscles (traps) to achieve the desired effect. It results in a physique reminiscent of a Barbie Doll. The process immobilises muscles temporarily, providing a smoother and more youthful appearance. Experts suggest that it is most effective when used on the neck. Social media is abuzz with the #BarbieBotox trend, with individuals sharing before-and-after photos to showcase their transformations. This trend continues to captivate audiences, fueled by the influence of Mattel’s Barbie dolls and the movie release.

Dermatologists revolutionise skincare with inclusive brands

Indian dermatologists are launching their skincare brands to address the need for inclusivity, simplicity, accessibility, affordability, and overall well-being in the skincare and hair care industry, making these essential aspects of self-care available to a wider audience. If the question is ‘why?’, the answer can be attributed to several key factors.

One significant reason is the lack of inclusivity in the skincare industry. Most popular and high-end skincare brands predominantly formulate their products with a focus on Caucasian skin, despite the fact that a substantial portion of the global population, including India, has diverse skin tones and needs. To address this gap, dermatologists are taking the initiative to curate suitable and even customised skincare products under their own brands.

Another driving force behind this trend is the simplification of skincare routines. Many individuals find multi-step skincare routines time-consuming and cumbersome. In response, dermatologists are developing products that deliver efficient results with a single application, eliminating the need for complex layering and phases.

Accessibility to dermatological expertise is also a concern for many. While some people may not have access to a good dermatologist, affordability remains a barrier for others. To democratise dermatological care, dermatologists are formulating products that bring the benefits of their expertise to a broader audience – a dermatologist in a bottle, so to speak.

The cost of skincare products can also be prohibitive, making quality skincare unattainable for some. Hence, many dermatologists are taking it upon themselves to create affordable yet effective skincare options, ensuring that good skincare is accessible to all.

Furthermore, the concept of skincare and hair care goes beyond mere vanity; it extends to overall health and well-being. Dermatologists are recognising the importance of addressing internal health and providing supplements that benefit individuals seeking not just external beauty but holistic well-being..

Discover the top anti-aging procedures making waves in India

Celebrities often seem to defy the ageing process, and their secret is not limited to botulinum toxin alone. India’s stars are increasingly turning to a range of minimally invasive treatments to maintain their youthful allure. Dermal fillers like Juvederm and Restylane are top choices, expertly reducing wrinkles and replenishing lost volume in areas such as lips, cheeks, and the under-eye region. Laser technology is making waves for its ability to rejuvenate skin by improving texture and addressing pigmentation issues while also stimulating collagen production. Chemical peels are another favorite, effectively exfoliating the skin’s top layer to reveal fresh, smooth skin beneath, targeting fine lines, uneven tone, and discolouration.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy is gaining immense popularity among celebrities and non-celebrities alike. This innovative, regenerative therapy uses a small amount of the patient’s own blood to extract platelets, which are then strategically injected to promote collagen production and enhance skin texture. Microneedling, a minimally invasive procedure, employs tiny needles to create micro-injuries beneath the skin’s surface, prompting the natural production of collagen and elastin, reducing wrinkles, and improving skin texture.

These procedures offer more than just celebrity glamour; they provide accessible options for anyone looking to rejuvenate their appearance. With the rise of these treatments, India is witnessing a new era in anti-ageing solutions that cater to diverse needs and deliver remarkable results.
