New hyaluronic acid dark circle reducer approved by FDA

Dark circles have bothered the populace for a long time. They make a person look tired, run-down, older and stressed. This has led to a rapid rise in cosmetics that help in improving dark circles. US-based Galderma recently received approval from the FDA for their newest hyaluronic acid dark circle reducer treatment. The product is to be marketed as Restylane Eyelight and is the first and only product in the US to use NASHA® technology. Reportedly, the manufacturer has stated that the drug improves under-eye appearance for up to 18 months. In the Phase 3 study, 87 per cent of patients* experienced reduced under-eye hollowness at three months. While 92 per cent of patients* were pleased with their results, 84 per cent were still pleased through one year. The study also yielded high satisfaction and most expressed interest in the product after receiving the treatment. Restylane Eyelight is a safe and effective treatment option without severe side-effects. Some of the most commonly observed side-effects of undereye injection are swelling, redness, tenderness, pain, bruising, itching, and lumps or bumps at the injection site. With Restylane Eyelight, the most adverse events were mild in severity (75 per cent) and none were reported as severe.
