Surgeons discuss nose reshaping with greater precision in Jaipur

Considering the growing demand for Rhinoplasty, a surgery that changes the shape of the nose, a session was conducted at Raj-Apsicon at a plastic surgery convention organised at SMS Hospital. Leading plastic surgeons from all over India showcased various cosmetic surgeries of the nose on the cadaver. From osteotomies in rhinoplasty, which involves cutting of bone for reshaping it, to septoplasty, which involves straightening of the nose bone and cartilage (between two nostrils), all of this was discussed along with how to overcome apprehensions for doing rhinoplasty. Additionally, challenges in cartilage grafts and exposure and modification of tip in rhinoplasty were discussed. Experts performed Rhinoplasty on cadaver to display how the surgery is conducted. One of the objectives of the conference was to keep the plastic surgeons up-to-date with the latest plastic surgery technology.
