Melasma & Hyperpigmentation Management

In the second in a series of webinars conducted in association with IPCA, the Aesthetic Medicine India team organised a knowledge session on ‘Melasma & Hyperpigmentation – India & Global Perspective’. The webinar discussed case studies from India and across the global.

With an amazing line-up of Aesthetic Medicine Practitioners, the live webinar, that comprised three sessions, discussed the following:

The session on therapeutic approach to Melasma and Hyperpigmentation Management discussed challenging case studies from India. Moderated by Dr Aseem Sharma, Chief Dermatologist, Skin Saga Centre for Dermatology, Mumbai, the eminent speakers who joined him on the panel included Dr Sudhavani Damarla, Associate Professor of Department of DVL, Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, and Consultant and Founder, Sri Skin and Cosmetology Centre, Hyderabad; and Dr Anil Ganjoo, Sr Consultant Dermatologist and Laser Surgeon, and Director-Skinnovation Clinics, Delhi.

The session was followed by an international case study discussion presented by Dr Pamela Benito, DDS, MSc Aesthetic Medicine, UK. Dr Benito is an award winning specialist aesthetic doctor from the UK and has over 10 years of clinical experience and a passion for artistry in her work.

The third and concluding panel discussion for the day focussed on the procedural options in hyperpigmentation and melasma management, once again with the panel emphasising on successful case studies. Moderated by Dr Madhuri Agarwal, Founder and CEO, Yavana Aesthetic Clinic, the panellists joining her included Dr Indu Ballani, Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatologist, New Delhi; and Dr Rupali Pavaskar, Dermatologist, Cosmetic Dermatologist and Trichologist , Dr Rupali Pavaskar’ s Clinic & Transforme. Adding a global perspective to the discussion was Dr Amiee Vyas, Founder, Doctor Amiee Facial Aesthetics & Skin. Dr Vyas is a leading facial aesthetics doctor from the UK, diverse skin specialist and expert trainer in injectable.

All in all, the webinar concluded in all success, with a variety of challenges case studies being analysed along with their treatment approach being discussed by the experienced panel of doctors. The success of the event was also evident from the response received from participants who had an unstoppable inflow of questions for the expert panel with reference to the topic in discussion and related case studies.
